Fun, easy little book great for kids ready to graduate from Magic Tree House. Especially interesting because it is set in 1928. An introduction to interesting mythological beasts.

What a fun story! Nate, a presumed orphan, is shipped off to an aunt he didn't know about, who takes him on a wild adventure to find a phoenix.

Great book of self-discovery for young readers. Nathaniel Fludd is an orphan who discovers a mysterious aunt his families tradition of becoming beastologists. Each book in the series focus on a different beast (phoenix, unicorn, dragons). And each book gets you closer to the truth about the Fludd family and Nathaniel's parents' disappearance.

My third grade boy loves the series.
