I know it's got a lot of racism towards first nations but you've got to understand that that's what EVERYONE called the at the time and it was written in the states. Besides it's a great story and that's all I'm looking for.

This book has a very strong racial stereotype in "Little Bull" the Native American who is brought to life in the cupboard. He speaks in pidgin English and is of no specific nation or cultural origin. He's just a generic "Indian". It should also be noted that the author changed his name from "Little Bull" to "Little Bear" from one book in the series to another without any explanation.
